Te Tai‑awa o Te Ora provides a full wrap‑around, kaupapa Māori services model that supports individuals, whānau, and tamariki across community and school settings. Our services are holistic, culturally grounded, and designed to work together.

We believe in walking alongside our whānau. Our role is to tautoko whānau to identify their own goals and pathways forward.

Our Services

Social Workers provide assessment, advocacy, care planning, and practical support that is whānau‑centred and strengths‑based for whānau facing complex social or systemic challenges.

Te Hunga Tauwhiro i te Kura – Social Workers in Schools (SWiS) is a primary and intermediate school-based community social work service for tamariki to improve their safety, wellbeing and educational outcomes.

Counsellors can guide you through discussion of your feelings and concerns to identify issues and develop coping mechanisms and pathways forward.

Whānau Ora is a whānau‑led approach that supports whānau to identify their aspirations and build pathways toward long‑term wellbeing and independence.

Kia Ora Ake is a oranga hinengaro wellbeing support programme for tamariki, delivered in partnership with schools and whānau. Available for tamariki (5 to 12 years old).

REFERRAL PATHWAYS

Community‑based referrals via agency or self‑referral Email: [email protected]

School‑based referrals are managed through the school’s SWiS or Kia Ora Ake referral process.

Referrals need the consent of the parent or primary caregiver and can be made by: the tamariki, or whānau themselves, the school, community or government agencies.
